Can I Swim in Sealskinz Socks/Gloves?Updated 23 days ago

In short, no, we cannot recommend our waterproof socks and gloves for swimming.

Our socks and gloves are constructed as a three-layer product, they have an outer layer that can get wet (this will absorb water), an inner layer, and a waterproof membrane sandwiched in between. It is this waterproof membrane that provides a barrier to water passing through the outer layer and into the gloves/socks to keep your hands and feet dry.

All of our waterproof socks and gloves will keep water out up to the sewn level of the cuff. If they are immersed in water above this level, they will become wet.

Our socks and gloves would not be suitable for swimming, diving, or activities where the water level is likely to be over the top of the cuff or where the entire sock/glove would be fully immersed in water, as once water enters the inside of product, it will become trapped inside until physically emptied out again.
